So, here we are in 2009. Are there flying cars yet? No. Maybe next year. The story right now is that I am on the endlessly unsuccessful search for my dream job in arts administration (please MCA, hire me already!). Bachelors degrees don't mean much these days, or maybe it's just the economic situation... No connection? No job.

Since July I've been working at Trader Joe's and making art for the store like seasonal window murals and merchandise signs. It's a great store, and I work cool people in a fun atmosphere, but it's not my dream. Also, it doesn't pay the bills.

I showed my work in October at the 2008 Chicago Art Open at the Merchandise Mart, which got me an exhibition in March at the Budlong Woods Library as a part of Chicago Public Libraries' Women History Month art celebration. I hope to keep exhibiting every few months and making new art as well.

In the meantime, if anyone knows of any companies in need of a spirited young professional with slammin' creative, administrative, and graphic design skills, let me know!
